Amanda comes to us from Blackford County Schools where she opened a preschool, served as a teacher, and most recently led as an instructional coach. She will oversee all preschool rooms at Randolph Central including what has been known as the GRIC Preschool and the full-day preschool rooms that were opened over the last two years. Deerfield Families, This is a friendly reminder that there is no school on Monday, January 15th. This was a built-in weather make-up day we have not needed to use. We'll see kids back at school on Tuesday. Also, as we are in the middle of winter weather season, we thought it might be helpful to send out this reminder with details on eLearning days. You can find this on our school webpage. https://core-docs.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/801/Deerfield_Elementary_School/2625322/RC_Elementary_eLearning_Plan_23-24.pdf Have a great weekend!

Deerfield students and staff are invited to help us spread some cheer before the new year! As always, participation is completely optional, and outfit choices cannot interfere with the ability to learn and participate in normal school activities (i.e. PE class, recess, restroom breaks, etc.) Please reach out to the office or your child’s teacher if you have any questions.

We were so happy to visit with our friends from the Ward Township Fire Department today at Deerfield. Our students enjoyed the opportunity to visit with the firefighters and learn important lessons on fire prevention and safety. Let this be your annual reminder to check your smoke detectors and remind your kids where your family would meet outside in the event of a house fire. Hopefully your children can tell you even more about what they learned today!
