Attention Parents of Incoming Kindergarten Students:
The statewide date for kindergarten entrance has changed. Any child who turns 5 by September 1, 2019, can enroll in Kindergarten for the 2019-20 school year at Deerfield Elementary School. Please visit our office or contact us by phone at 765-595-0144 extension 1300 for information about how to register your child for kindergarten.
We are in need of volunteers (moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, or big brothers or sisters) to make field day a success! The kids LOVE Field Day. However, there are a lot of stations and a lot of groups that rotate through the stations. Therefore, we need a lot of volunteers. Volunteers will need to plan to arrive around 9:30 a.m. on May 17. Call the office at 765-595-0144, option 3 if you can help.
Due to scheduling conflicts, this spring’s Kindergarten Parent Night at Deerfield has been rescheduled, and will take place on Monday, May 13. This informational meeting is your opportunity to meet some of our staff, visit a kindergarten classroom, receive information about kindergarten at Deerfield, and ask any questions you may have. Flyers with all the details will go home with DES students tomorrow. Thank you for helping us spread the word to families of our new kindergarten students!

Join us tomorrow at Deerfield for our annual PTO Pastries for Parents. You can come for breakfast from 7:15-8:15 before school, or you can stop for an afternoon snack from 2:45-3:45. Our friends with Randolph County Promise will also be here if you have questions or want to take advantage of the opportunity to create an account for your child.

Join us in wishing our Lady Falcons good luck as they compete in the State Finals basketball game tomorrow. You are invited to meet the Lady Falcons on Saturday, February 23, at 6:00 p.m. WCHS will be hosting a Media Night in the high school gym. The WCHS Girls’ Basketball team and managers will be available for autographs and photos with fans! You are invited to bring your own t-shirt, basketball, and/or rally towel to be signed. Rosters/programs will be provided on-site for autographs. Go Falcons!
Don’t forget! Our Christmas Program begins tonight at 6:30 in the WCHS Auditorium. Doors open at 6:10. Our students have been busy rehearsing, and they can’t wait to share their performance with you.
