Randolph Central is conducting an eLearning day today, Thursday, February 13, 2020, due to inclement winter weather. Also, tomorrow, Friday, February 14th is a planned eLearning day for students as we have professional development for all school staff.
All students should access their instruction online with their Chromebooks. eLearning days are school days and attendance is counted for your child when he or she submits an assignment. If you do not have Internet access at home, and travel to a site with Internet access is not possible, your child will have three school days to turn in all eLearning assignments. Lessons should be available for students by 9 AM. Students are encouraged to work on their assignments during school hours so that teachers are available to assist them. If you have additional questions, you can submit a question online to your child's teacher using Unified Classroom or email. Please see the attached document for more information about tomorrow's planned eLearning Day.
Please also remember that there will still be no school on Monday (Presidents' Day). We will look forward to seeing students back at school on Tuesday, February 18th!

The Winchester Wrestling Club signup day for the 2020 season is at the WCHS Fieldhouse on Tuesday, Feb 11th beginning at 5:30 pm. Club is open to all grades PreK-12th and the cost to sign up is $20. More info is available on the Winchester Wrestling Club Facebook page.

At the end of the school year, any 5th grade student who has achieved 300 total Accelerated Reader points while at Willard (or an average of 100 per year for move-in students during their time here) will have the chance to go to Kings Island at the beginning of the summer! 5th GRADE PARENTS! Did you know that 5th grade students have a chance to earn a PRIDE Work Ethic Certificate this year? Check out the attached application for more information. Please pay attention to the requirement of two hours or community service. Fifth grade students must meet 8 of the 9 criteria in order to achieve this high honor! Additionally, students will be responsible for applying for the award at the end of the school year. Good luck!

Does the thought of the IREAD3 exam give you heartburn? If so, join us at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th in the Willard cafeteria for an IREAD3 parent meeting. We will discuss components of the test, what to expect, and how to prepare. The third grade classroom with the highest percentage of parents attending will receive an ice cream sundae party!

Someone that we love needs a cure and we want to help find it! This year, rather than raise money for Pennies for Patients, we are joining our friends at Baker Elementary School in raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Indiana. Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. Thank you in advance for helping us raise money for this great cause!
