Great things are happening at Deerfield every day. Sometimes these successes are quiet moments in classrooms that are only witnessed by our students and teachers. Sometimes, however, these successes come in the form of very public achievements and honors. We are so very proud to announce that Deerfield Elementary School was recently recognized as a 2018-2019 Title I Distinguished School Award Nominee. This nomination placed our school as one of the top eight exceptionally performing Title I schools in the state of Indiana. Deerfield is currently highlighted on the Indiana Department of Education website: https://www.doe.in.gov/sig/distinguished-schools. Deerfield also exceeds expectations according to federal school accountability ratings. Only five percent of elementary and middle schools in Indiana were able to achieve this rating. Check out the article below from the Muncie Star Press. https://www.thestarpress.com/story/news/local/2020/01/03/report-card-how-eci-schools-fared-federal-ratings/2796698001/ We continue to take great pride in the work of our students and teachers here at Deerfield. Please help us congratulate them when you see them here at school or out in the community!
